Modernisation is a series of better decisions

How to replace fragile processes without losing what already works.

GenIT editorial concept · 3 min read

Modernisation begins with a map of the current system: who uses it, what depends on it, and where failures cost time.

Choose a bounded first change. Replacing a fragile integration or improving one workflow can create useful evidence before a larger investment.

Define how the change will be measured. Review error rates, task completion and support demand alongside technical indicators.

Keep a rollback path and document ownership. A platform is easier to evolve when its boundaries and responsibilities are clear.
